Sequel: It Doesn't Matter Chapter 12, Keeping The Promise
Sonic and Amy got back to the house. Tails ran up to them.
Tails:”Amy! You’re okay!!”
Amy:”Yup!”
Sonic grabbed Tails by the shoulders and looked him in the eye smiling.
Sonic:”Tails...bro....I’ve got something very exciting to tell you...actually, I gotta tell it to everyone...
*whistles* Hey guys! Come down! I gotta tell you something!”
Everybody ran downstairs.
Knuckles:”What’s up Sonic?”
Charmy:”Yeah!*circles around Sonic* Did you bring us any candy?”
Vector:”CHARMY!! You’re not eating anymore sugar! You’re already on a high from it!!”
Tails:”So, what did you need to tell us Sonic?”
Sonic smiled big trying not to scream from excitement.
Sonic:” Eggman’s...DEAD!!HE’S FINAALY GONE!! Amy killed him!!”
Sonic tells them the whole story. Everybody jumps ten feet in the air. Screams, Yays, and whoots filled the room.
Tails:”YAAAAAY!!WHOOOHOOO!! That’s wonderful!! All of us will finally have a future! We’ll get to do whatever
we want without Eggman to worry about! Wow...a future, a-a life*falls back* THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!”
Everybody laughed at the dramatic Tails. Amy turned to Sonic who looked at her. They both smiled. Everybody stopped laughing and stared at Sonic and Amy who were now gazing into eachothers eyes. They both blinked
and turned towards their confused friends. Sonic exhaled and takes Amy’s hand.
Sonic:”Guys, we have a confession to make....Me and Amy have been secretly in love...”
Everybodys jaws dropped. Well except Tails, Knuckles, Espio, and Cream. But they pretended like they
didn’t know.
Vector:”Why...didn’t you tell us?”
Charmy:”Yeah! YOU BIG FAT JERK! WHY?!!”
Sonic:”Whoah...hold it there Beeman! It was for Amy’s safety....*sigh of annoyance* Ame’s...I’m tired of telling it....you tell the story this time!”
Amy tells the story. It was so long, deep and dramatic that no one could understand any of it. Knuckles eyes
began to droop and Charmy mocked Amy’s expressions that she made when talked about the romantic parts.
(bads eyelashes, sighs, giggles)
Amy:”He did it to protect me! Because he loves and cares about me so much!-“
Knuckles:”AMMMMMMMYYY!!! YOU REDUNDANT IDIOT!!! You’ve said that same line like five times!!”
Amy:” Sorry. I get kinda carried away when I tell my stories.”
Charmy:”We couldn’t tell...”
Sonic:”Did you all get it though?”
Everybody shook their head. Sonic slapped his hand across his forehead and sighed.
Sonic:”Translation....I kept our love a secret to protect Amy from Eggman...If he found out he would do
anything to destroy her....Eggman could get to me through her...because if she died...I would be weak
because my heart...my heart....”
Everybody stared at Sonic as he tried to say the last few words of his speech.
Knuckles:”Your heart would be broken and you would never be able to live again...typical love line!
But...I can see why...”
Charmy:”EWWWW!!Disgusting! Love! AHHHHH!!!”
Amy glared at Charmy who slowly stepped back...

Sonic’s room...
Knuckles:”So...whatcha gonna do now that Eggman’s dead?”
Sonic sat at his desk gazing forward.
Knuckles:”Soooonniiiiccc...”
He waved his hand in front of Sonic’s face and snapped his finger in his ear.
Sonic:”Oh! Is it time?!! Already? I can’t wait to see what she looks like and- huh?”
Knuckles eyes widened.
Knuckles:”What?”
Sonic stared at him with his mouth hanging open untill his train of thought went back on track.
Sonic:”Oh....nothing....”
He got up and slumped on his bed. Knuckles sat by him and smiles.
Knuckles:”*whistles wedding song*”
Sonic:”WOULD YOU SHUT UP AND GO AWAY?!”
Knuckles:”Hey Sonic, don’t hate the player....hate the game....”
Amy’s room....
Amy spun around dancing once again in a daydream.
Cream:”So....when are you and Sonic gonna get married?”
Amy:”I daknow....when he asks me I guess...but let me tell you....It’ll be soon!”
She walked out of the room and downstairs. She heard someone talking in the kitchen and decided to listen in.
???:”I just don’t know if I’m ready yet Knuckles!”
Knuckles:”Why? You told me that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with her. You sounded ready...”
Amy then relized it was Sonic! He paced back and forth in the kitchen.
Sonic:”I know Knuckster....it’s just that...I’m a little freaked out....it came up so quickly...”
Knuckles:”Are you afraid she might say no?”
Sonic:”I guess....”
Knuckles:”Well that’s just stupid Sonic! Why would she say “no” to marrying her hero? Think about it!”
Sonic sat down on a chair.
Sonic:” It a huge step Knux....and I’m not sure if I wanna take it....not right now anyway....”
Knuckles:”SONIC! YOU LOVE HER! Why don’t you wanna take it?!”
Sonic:”Because I’m scared!”
Knuckles:”OF WHAT?!!”
Sonic:”THAT SHE MIGHT GET HURT AGAIN!!”
Sonic stood up with his fist clenched. Knuckles glared at him.
Sonic:”I’m scared that she might get hurt again! If I marry her and lose her-“
Hot Tears ran down his face.
Knuckles:” YOU’RE BEING SELFISH SONIC!!!”
Sonic:”I AM NOT!! YOU JUST NEED TO...TO...SHUT UP!!”
He reacted and punched Knuckles in the stomach. What Sonic didn’t relize was that Amy was standing...
right there. Knuckles stood up and glared at him. Sonic breathed hard. He then saw Amy out of the corner
of his eye.
He turned toward her.
Knuckles:”You’re hurting her...”
Sonic looked at her with wet eyes. She walked over to him and put her hand on his shoulder. He embraced her
with a stern grip and burried his head in her shoulder.
Amy:” Sonic....it’s okay....I won’t say no....And I’m not gonna get hurt....trust me...Eggman’s dead....no one
can hurt me now....”
Sonic looked deeply into her eyes.
Knuckles:”MOVE SONIC!!!!”
Sonic started to sweat vigerously. He took Amy’s hand. She smiled.
Sonic:”Amy....I love you so much....I....don’t want anything to happen to you....I....I....Oh what am I saying?!
Heh heh...Will you...will you Amy Rose....”
Knuckles:”*gets beside Sonic and Whispers* Willist thou marry me Amy Rose?”
Sonic:”KNUCKLES YOU’RE NOT HELPING!!!”
All of the sudden...at a random moment... Everybody came downstairs and heard Sonic talking. Tails walked
into the kitchen and stopped, starring at Sonic. Everybody came into the kitchen now and their jaws dropped.
Sonic:”Oh grand! MORE PRESSURE!!”
Cream:”*whispers to Tails* What’s he about to do?”
Tails, not really sure, went up to Sonic.
Tails:” Um....am I interrupting something?”
Knuckles:” YES YOU ARE FOX BOY!!”*stupid idiotic retarded Knuckles. He didn’t know!!*
Tails stepped back and watched Sonic stare into Amy’s eyes.
Sonic:”.......will...*ahem* Will you marry me Amy Rose??”
He starred deeply into her eyes waiting for her reply. Waiting for the moment his life would change forever.
Amy’s eyes swelled up in tears of joy. She opened her mouth and tried to let go of the words she wanted to say.
Amy:”....of..OF COURSE I WILL!!”
Sonic smiled big. They both embraced eachother.
(Yeah, I know they're both a little young for marriage...but they're on mobius for gosh sakes! Things are
different there!)
Knuckles clapped and Tails jumped around the room.
Tails:”YAAAAYYY!! WOOHOO!! *starts singing* MY BRO’S GETTING MARRIED! MY BRO’S GETTING MARRIED!”
Vector:”...can’t...hold...back...TEARS!WAAAAAAAAHHH!!!”
Cream and Vanilla:”That’s so sweet!!”
Charmy:”*starts singing in his annoying beyond all beliefs voice* HERE COMES THE BRIDE!! BIG FAT AND-
*stops and gets an”Urge to kill:Rising” look from Amy*”
Espio:”I’ve witnessed love....”
Mighty:”YESH!! FINALLY!!”
Charmy:”HERE COMES THE GROOM SKINNY AS A BROOM-*stops and gets another”I’m gonna murder you!”
look from Sonic*”
Knuckles:”(quiet) I can’t believe that Sonic’s getting’ married before me...”
Sonic:”Well, ask Rouge out and you might have a chance with someone-sorry.”

Sonic and Amy sat on the beach that night holding each other in their arms.
Amy:”Why are you so scared that I’m gonna get hurt all the time?”
Sonic:”I...don’t know.....you’re the first one...that I’ve been this much in love with...I don’t wanna lose you....
I don’t think I could find anyone else....”
Amy:”You’re scared of being alone?”
Sonic:”........I guess.....now that Eggman’s gone....I have all the time in the world....but I wanna spend that time with someone....I don’t wanna be by myself....I’ve been by myself pretty much my whole life since my parents died.....I don’t wanna go back to that situation....”
At home....
Tails answers the phone.
Tails:”Hello? who’s this?”
???:”A person...”
Tails:” Okay....would you like to talk to someone?”
???:”Yeah....Sonic....”
Tails:”Sonic? Sonic’s out right now...He won’t be back till later...do you want me to give him your message?-“
???:”NO! Just tell him....he’s mine*dial tone*”
Emerald beach....
Amy smiled and kissed him on the cheek. They got up and walked down the shore line...knowing that it was
just days until their lives with each other will change forever...
