Sequel: It Doesn't Matter Chapter 9, It Was The Only Way to Save He
Sonic woke up from his night mare by quickly opening his eyes. He was sweating violently and breathing hard. He looked around. He was still sitting in the chair and his head lay beside Amy's. Sonic smiled and kissed her on the forehead. He stood up and stretched his arms. He shook Amy a little.
Sonic:" Amy...Amy, wake up hun..."
Amy:" uhhhhhhh...."
Sonic:" Mornin'! How ya feelin' babe?"
Amy sat up and rubbed her eyes.
Amy:"*yawn* Mornin' Sonic....hey where is everyone?"
Sonic:" Oh...they went home last night...."
Amy:" You stayed up here with me? Ohhh you're so sweet."
Sonic smiled and held her hand. Then, the doctor came in. He checked her pulse, her blood-pressure, and her wounds.
Docter:" Looks like you're okay. You can go home!"
Sonic:" I'll wait for you out in the waiting room Ame's."
Sonic walked out of the room. Amy put her normal clothes back on and brushed her hair(spines, quills whatever they are) She walked out of her room and to the waiting room. She signed some papers and then walked over to Sonic.
Sonic:" You ready to go?"
Amy nodded. They both walked out of the hospital.
Amy:" Sonic...you wanted to tell me something?"
Sonic looked at her and gritted his teeth. He seriously didn't want to tell her that Shadow loved her now too. The dream he had...scared him half to death.
Sonic:" Um...I uh...well...you see...Shadow....loves someone..."
Amy stopped and looked at him puzzled.
Amy:" Who? Is it someone I know?"
Sonic:"...yeah...kinda..."
Amy:" Who?"
Sonic hesitated. A bead of sweat rolled down the side of his head.
Sonic:" Well,...he loves...he loves...-"
Amy:" Spit it out Sonic..."
Sonic bowed his head and shook it.
Sonic:" I...I can't! It's too painful!*whispers* He can't love you...."
Amy:" What?"
Sonic took her hand and led her into an alley.
Amy:" What is it Sonic?!"
Sonic slammed his fist on a wall. Amy looked at him sadly.
Amy:" Sonic....why are you beating yourself up?"
Sonic:" I'M NOT! I'm upset!"
Amy:" SONIC!! WHO IS IT?!"
Sonic:" IT'S YOU!!!!
Amy's stepped back in shock. He wrapped his arms around her neck embracing her.
Sonic:" It's you...he loves you...He's conducting a plan to try and make you fall for him....I...I-I had a dream last night....It was horrible! He...He brainwashed you...you were....kissing him....and had red eyes...and when I tried to tell you that I loved you....you-you broke my arm...a-and choked me....and...I didn't keep my promise....I just let him have you.....I gave up! I didn't try to get you back! I....stopped loving you..."
Amy's eyes fell and she embraced him.
Sonic:" But....it was just a dream....it wasn't real....I love you in real life...more than anything in the world...It doesn’t matter what happens 'cause I'm never gonna brake my promise to you."
Amy smiled and held him closer.
Amy:" And I won't either! I'm not gonna brake my promise! I hate Shadow for what he's trying to do to our relationship..."
They both pressed their lips against each others and stood there in a deep romantic embrace. But they hadn't realized who was watching them above. Shadow looked down at them and growled.
Shadow:" Bah! She supposed to love me! No matter, I'll get what I want."
He jumped down and ran to Eggmans fortress. He slammed open the door and stomped in.
M.S:" See somethin' you didn't wanna see?"
Shadow glared at him with red eyes.
M.S:" Shutting up..."
Shadow walked up to Eggman.
Shadow:" Will your brainwashing machine do anything? Even make someone think something different."
Eggman:" Why yes...it should! Why?"
Shadow:" Do you want another sidekick?"
Eggman:" Sure why not!"
Shadow:" Good...because you have no choice...fire up the machine!"
Bocoe and Decoe ran over to the machine and turned it on.
Eggman:" Who are we brainwashing today?"
Shadow grinned evilly.
Shadow:" Amy Rose..."
Eggman:" Why do we want her on our side?"
M.S:" What he meant by that was that he needed a new companion."
Shadow whacked him upside the head.
Eggman:" Ahhhhh.... You want her to fall in love with you instead of Sonic....brilliant!"
M.S:" And just think! We'll kill two birds with one stone! Except the second bird will actually be dead*laughs at his own joke*"
Eggman:" What are you saying?"
M.S:" Didn't Shadow tell you that Sonic and Amy were secretly in love and going out with each other? They've kept it a secret for two months!"
Eggman glances angrily at Shadow. Shadow slumps his head down shamefully.
Eggman:" No...he didn't...how much is he in love with her?"
Shadow:" Madly...Truly...deeply...wants to spend the rest of his life with her..."
M.S:" He's gonna marry her after you're dead! They've got it all set!"
Eggman:" Really? hummmm....we can kill two birds with one stone then! Amy will be brainwashed and Shadow will win her heart and Sonic will be so weak because his girl left him....I CAN DEFEAT HIM! HA HA HA HA HA HA!!"
They all laughed evily.

Sonic and Amy walked back home.
Sonic:" Hey guys! Amy's back home!"
They both heard a billion footsteps run down the stairs.
Everybody:" AMY!!"
Cream:" Oh Amy! I'm so glad you're okay!"
Tails:" Welcome home Ame's!"
Knuckles:" Well, look who it is! The Amester!"
Amy:" Well look who it is! The Knuckster!"
Knuckles frowned and turned away. Amy took her stuff up to her room. She sat her bags on the floor and fell back on her bed.
Amy:" It's so nice to be home...."
She sat up. Her heart jumped as she saw Shadow standing in front of her with his arms crossed.
Amy:" Shadow! What the heck are you doing in my room?!"
Amy stood up and got out her hammer.
Amy:" GET OUT NOW! SON-*screams*"
Shadow grabbed her around the neck and slapped her hand over her mouth.
Shadow:" You...my love...You are coming with me!"
Amy breathed hard and bit his hand. Shadow yelped and let go of her. Amy ran out of the room and downstairs. She ran into Sonic's arms quivering and frightened.
Sonic:" Amy, babe what's wrong?"
Amy:"....Shadow...was in my room...I think he still is...he tried to kidnap me! Oh Sonic!"
Lightning flashed in Sonic's eyes and he held her close.
Sonic:" It's alright Ame's....You're with me now..."
Cream and Tails ran downstairs screaming. They both ran into Sonic's arms too.
Sonic:" What's wrong?"
Tails:" M.S! Me a-and Cream were in my room playing video games when my window broke open and M.S flew inside!"
Cream:" It's true!!!"
She ran to her mom and started to cry. Tails held on to Sonic.
Sonic:" You all wait-huh?"
He looked up as Shadow and M.S walked down the stairs with evil grins on their faces. Shadow came up to Sonic and put his hand on Amy's shoulder. Sonic growled and slapped his hand off. Shadow grabbed her arm and Sonic pulled her away.
Shadow:" Let...me....have....her now."
Sonic held Amy closer and glared at Shadow. Shadow grabbed his arms and tried to pull Amy away from him. Sonic's eyes glowed red and he punched Shadow in the mouth.
Sonic:" *Growl* DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER!!"
Shadow:" Sonic....I'm just doing this the easy way...give me Amy or I'll have to do it the hard way!"
Sonic:" NO!!"
Shadow's eyes glowed red now and he pulled out something silver. Sonic's eyes widened as he saw a knife in Shadows hand he put it up against Amy's neck.
Shadow:" I'm not afraid to do it the hard way Sonic...I will kill her!"
Sonic:" But if you kill her you still won't get her! You don't make since!"
Shadow pressed the knife against her a little more. Tears flowed from Sonic's eyes and he shook his head.
Sonic:" But you love her!!"
Shadow:" Yes I do...I love her enough to keep her away from you....even if it has to be done this way..."
Amy started to shake in fear.
Sonic:"(thinking) I have to let her go...It's the only way to keep her alive...."
Tears flowed down Sonic's cheeks as he let go of her. Amy looked at him with fear and sadness.
Amy:" Sonic? How...How could you?"
Sonic:"*cry* It's the only way to keep you alive!*holds her hand* What ever happens I'll always love you...I won't forget you ever...."
Amy:" Sonic...no...no...NO!"
Tears flowed from her eyes as Shadow grabbed her. He pulled out a chaos emerald and held it in the air.
Shadow:" Chaos control!"
Amy:" SOOONNNIIICCC!!!"
They both disappeared. Sonic let out a cry and fell to the ground face first. Tails started to cry and so did Cream. Sonic's cries were shaky and violent.
Sonic fell into darkness and landed on his back. He sat up. His eyes were still wet with tears. His twin from his other dream came up to him and glared.
Sonic 1:"It's you! I mean...me!"
Sonic 2:"What have you done?"
Sonic 1:"What?! What do you mean? I tried to save her...but this was the only way to save her!"
Sonic 2:"Remember your vision? It is now real...or becoming real. You aren't keeping your promise Sonic! You are letting her go....You will never spend the rest of your life with her now if you don't save her! You will not keep your promise!"
Sonic woke up from his dream and stood up slowly with his eyes closed. He opened his eyes and starred at the door. He clasped his fists together and glared.
Tails:" What are you doing?"
Sonic:" Keeping my promise..."
He slammed open the door and sped off towards Eggmans fortress.
