The signs of Sonic's love for Amy are pretty much all in Sonic X. What Sonic Team are trying to say within the cartoon is that AMY is Sonic's girl. Not, Sally, not Mina, not Sara. Amy. The relationship between Sonic and Amy
in Sonic X starts out as Amy being the little fan girl and is always glomping and hugging Sonic... and he doesn't particularly like it. I think because Sonic doesn't know Amy allthat well. But as the episodes carry on, Sonic
seems to not mind so much...and then sparks begin to fly between the two...
Evidence in Sonic X
There is a TONE of evidence in
Sonic X!!! Sonic X is a dream come true for SonAmy fans!!! For once we get
to see
another girl, rather then that squirrel girl hug Sonic.
I've only listed a few episodes synopsises below. I might add some more if I get the time.
Amy on the Beach
~*This episode is a MUST
see for SonAmy fans!!!~*
A new Resort has opened up at
Emerald Coast and Chris is invited to the Opening Party (because his mother
and
father can't make it to the opening party, Chris has to go instead and be a
stand in). Amy, Tails, Cream
and Cheese decide to go to the beach near the resort, so Chris can meet up with them later.
Sonic on the other hand
doesn't want to go...he doesn't like the ocean, because he can't swim!
So Sonic runs off to do his own thing...as usual!
Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese
take off in the X Tornado to go to the beach. Chris goes to the opening party, escorted by Tenaka and Ella.
Everyone is having a fun time at the beach...except
Amy. She's gloomy
because she was hoping to have a nice day at the beach, alone
with Sonic. Thinking about this makes her go into a daydream...but her sweet dream
is rudely interrupted when a coconut falls on her head!
Amy notices a
couple nearby sharing a sweet moment together, Amy hides behind a rock and
listens in.
The girl had made a bracelet out of seashells for her boyfriend. The
girl tells him that the bracelet is to bring
him good luck while swimming. Hearing this, Amy rushes off to collect seashells and make one for Sonic.
Of course, Dr. Eggman arrives on the scene and wants to destroy the Resort to make way for an amusement
park in his honour.
Sonic gets back to Chris'
house and brings a bunch flowers, he assumed they would be home
by now. Chris'
grandpa then storms into the room to show Sonic what has happened at Emerald
Coast and that Eggman is trying to set up an Amusement Park, while causing havoc. Then out of no where, Bokkun shows up
and rambles on about something. Bookun then hands Sonic a bomb,
flys off and the bomb explodes in poor
Sonic's face! The crew at the beach spot what is going on at the Resort. So Tails and Amy go
off to stop Eggman. Sonic shows up to stop Eggman's plans on building the
Amusement Park... however Eggman is ready with E-38
and it starts to fight with
Sonic by dragging him into the water.
Amy and Tails show up in the X Tornado...Amy looks out and see's that E-13 is trying to drown Sonic.
Amy jumps out of
the X Tornado and whacks the arm thing of E-18 which was holding onto Sonic,
thus freeing
him. Sonic thanks Amy and destroys E-38 by spin dashing into it.
Eggman has a sook and leaves.
Sonic goes over to Amy and tells her what she did
was crazy!
Amy replies that he makes her do crazy things! Sonic get's nervous
and
says thank you and turns to leave. Amy tells Sonic to wait and holds out
the bracelet. She tells him that she made the
bracelet for him and it's to
protect him in the water and if he wears it, it
will bring him good luck.
Sonic is...well, shocked that Amy is giving him this gift...he realises that
Amy
really cares for him...she doesn't want any harm to come across him.
Before Sonic has a
chance to take the bracelet from her, that stupid eggman comes back and
ruins
the moment! Eggman brings yet another robot with him, E39, which comes
crashing down, the force knocks
Amy over and the bracelet falls out of her hands.
The robot destroys it. Sonic holds Amy back, to protect her!
Sonic then goes
off to fight E39. Meanwhile, Amy just stands there, looking at the crushed
bracelet.
She starts to
cry, because she made that bracelet especially for Sonic
and it was supposed to bring hi goodluck...
not bad luck...and now, it was
ruined. Amy's sadness quickly turns to anger.
Amy is furious at E-39 and destroys it in an angry rage, then whacks eggman..
which makes her end up in the ocean. Sonic see's Amy splash into the water and without thinking,
Sonic dives into the water to save her...
Amy wakes up a while later during
Sunset and she finds out that Sonic
saved her from drowning...
Then, you see Sonic looking out towards the ocean...
with the Seashell Bracelet
(he fixed it with some string) by his side! Awww!
Sonic's Run Wild! Capture Him!
In
this episode, it really shows how much Amy cares for Sonic. She is worried sick
about what's the matter with him.
In the beginning of the episode, Sonic
and Amy were facing this bird-type
robot of Eggman's on a farm. It blasted
towards them, making a blinding light and grabbed Amy while Sonic was covering
his eyes. Sonic quickly realised
the robot had Amy and set out to get her back.
Tails happens to come along, chucks a ring to Sonic, Sonic does a spin dash up
the farms windmill, towards the robot. Sonic spindashes through the robot,
smashing it fall apart. But as this happens, a little part of the robot (some
magnetic device thing) goes into Sonic's ear. Sonic, unaware of this, then kicks
eggman (who is in his eggomatic) away. Amy starts falling towards the ground.
Sonic falls also and quickly catches up to her and
wraps his arms around her.
Sonic tells Amy that he's got her. Amy blushes and tells him that he is her
hero!
They come closer to hitting the hay stack. As they do, Sonic places one of
his hands on top of Amy's head,
to protect her. They both hit the hay stack.
They sit up and Amy is telling Sonic about how romantic this would be if they
could just stay there forever.
Amy turns to Sonic, who's not listening (because
he's too busy trying to get something out of his ear).
This makes Amy angry. So Sonic asks what the matter is! Tisk tisk tisk! 
Anyhow, later on Amy gives Sonic a peice of her mind...but he's still not
listening because he has that thing in his ear! Tanaka presses this button to
unlock the car and Sonic goes wild! He dashes off. Everyone's worried about
what's the matter with him. Especially Amy. So anywho, they chase after Sonic,
planning ways to get him to stop- they all fail.
Eventually Sonic runs back to
the farm. Amy and Tails get to the farm before Sonic in the X Tornado.
They see
the bird-type robot being chased by a dog below. Amy climbs out onto the wing of
the plane and gets ready to whack the robot. The robot quickly dodges Amy's
attack, jumps up and lets out this electric net,
which gets Amy.
You hear Sonic
in the background yell out "AMY!". Sonic speeds up, smashes the robot, it falls
apart and it crashes to
the ground.
As Sonic does this the
thing that was in his
ear falls out. Amy jumps from the wing of the X Tornado and comes falling
towards Sonic, who's on the hay stack. The thing that was once in Sonic's ear has fallen out, but Sonic has some hay in his other ear now!
Amy asks Sonic whats
the matter now and he tells her that he has something
in his ear. Amy moves
closer to Sonic and slowly blows on his ear, making the hay blow out. Sonic
smiles into
her eyes and tells her that's much better! He lies down on the hay
stack while Amy sits there smiling at him.
A cute episode indeed!
Memories of
the Wind-
Ok, it is now official that Sonic loves Amy...in Sonic X anyway.
He tells her!
You might be saying, I didn't hear
Sonic say "I love you" to Amy, well,
he didn't SAY it, as in you can't hear him
speak it, but watch Sonics mouth movements closely and you too will see that it
matches the words
"I love you...Emi" perfectly. The Sonamy part of this episode starts with
Amy at Cream's house. Amy is looking out the window, hoping to see Sonic.
Amy can see a shining glow in the sky. Amy runs outside to have a better
view. Amy can't believe it! Sonic is back! A huge smile forms across Amy's face as she runs towards her house.
When Amy finally arrives at her house, Sonic is already there, waiting at her door. Amy falls to her knees
and begins to cry. She tells Sonic that she had decided that she would wait for him, even if she grew old,
she would still wait for him.
While Amy tells Sonic this, he just
stares at her, smiling. He is in love with her.
If he wasn't in love with her,
then he would've had a sad face, because he
would of had to tell Amy that he didn't want her to wait for him. BUT
THAT
IS NOT THE CASE. Sonic finally felt that he was ready to take his relationship
with Amy to the next stage.
Another point to take into account is that when Sonic returned back home,
the first person he went to visit was Amy. Makes you wonder doesn't it? If Sonic supposingly didn't like Amy, why would she be the first on
his list of people to visit? Conclusion: Sonic loves Amy and Amy loves Sonic. Case closed.
Evidence in the games
Sonic Adventure:
Sonic Adventure is by far the best game! Amy's personality is shown
clearly and you get to see just what a kind hearted girl she really is!
^.^Sonic gets VERY nervous around
Amy in Sonic Adventure. You see, if Sonic "hated" Amy, wouldn't he have just
full on dashed away when he saw Amy in Sonic Adventure (the part when Amy and
the flickie meet up with Sonic)? But he didn't. Sonic listened to what Amy said
and then he ran away!! When he runs away though, he was only playing around with
her, because he says to her once she finds him "What took you so long?". He wanted her to find him. What's funny about this is that Sonic runs
away only to stand in front of Twinkle Park. Obviously he wanted her to find him
and then notice Twinkle Park so that they could go in there together!

Sonic Adventure
2:
A bit
disappointing. Amy was pretty whiney. What annoyed me the most was that Sonic
Team lacked to remember what Amy told herself in Sonic Adventure. I quote "I've
gotta be more independent! I'll teach that Sonic to respect me..." something
along those words anyway. But Amy didn't get given that much spotlight in SA2, so it's not like she could really be independent. However, in Sonic Adventure 2, we see how much Amy cares for Sonic. Amy is willing to put her life in danger for Sonic. She is willing to do whatever it takes to rescue him from prision. Amy managed to get onto Prison Island (top-notch, high security) all by herself. She didn't call up anyone for help. As soon as Amy heard that Sonic was in trouble- so she set out to save him. No questions asked. She didn't care if Sonic was in the wrong or the right. All Amy cared about was saving him. <3 Sonic does show signs for his
feelings towards Amy in Sonic Adventure 2. In the part when Tails is on the mobile type thing to
Sonic and is saying that something happened to Amy, but gets cut off before he
can finish telling Sonic, he gets extremely worried and you can tell that he is
getting paranoid with the fact that he doesn't know what's happened to her. Then
in the capsule part, Sonic comes to save Amy...and Eggman calls Amy Sonic's girlfriend. Now if Sonic really didn't have feelings for Amy in that way, then he would've gotten pretty annoyed by what Eggman had said. But did he? No. You might say, but Sonic's not the type to say "she's not my girlfriend" or something like that. But just remember, Sonic gets pretty annoyed when Shadow simply calls Sonic a faker and says untrue statements about him. Eggman is saying that Sonic is Amy's boyfriend. If that wasn't true, Sonic would've said something.
When Sonic is trapped in the capsule, and is saying his last words, he says to Amy "Amy..." and pauses for a slight second. Sonic, perhaps, was about to say something else...because he thought maybe this would be the last time he would see Amy. However, having the high ego that Sonic does, he still had that hope in the back of his mind that he would somehow escape. There is also the possiblity that Sonic did not want to tell Amy how he felt, as he knew if he were to die and he were to tell her his true feelings, that would leave a huge burden on Amy. If he died, he didn't want Amy to be stuck in the past. As Sonic's motto goes "I'll never look back, I've got no regrets. 'Cause time doesn't wait for me, I choose to go my own way." Sonic hates looking back, and he would hate for Amy to keep looking back. Which is why Sonic says "Amy...Take care of yourself".
Sonic Heroes:
Hmmm...Amy is stalking Sonic (well, more then usual!)
and is pretty much forcing him into marrying her...
and why was she attacking
him?! It's pure madness!!! But then, I personally don't think Amy is SERIOUS about it. Come on. Her maturity level is way higher then that. I think she does it to like annoy Sonic XD Coz she knows
he can't commit himself to a relationship. If she was serious about getting married to him, I'm sure she would
have a serious conversation concerning marrage with him. Our Amy might be asking Sonic to marry her because she is afraid of loosing him. Sonic's running around the world putting himself in danger. Poor Amy, she must get worried SICK about his safety. She probably wants them to get married because A.) She loves Sonic with all her heart and wants to spend the rest of her life with him. B.) She is scared that she might loose him. Amy feels that
if they don't get married soon, they might not have a chance to do that in the future.
But those are just theories. Only Sonic Team know how Amy REALLY feels.
Sonic doesn't seem to take it too seriously when Amy asks him
to marry her,
so he probably just thinks she is messing around. You can so tell that Sonic likes Amy in Sonic Heroes. He flirts with her. Haven't you noticed how when Amy chases after Sonic he doesn't just zoom off?
Come on, if the guy didn't like Amy, he wouldn't give a damn and just run off. But he doesn't. He runs slowly,
so that Amy can keep up. He teases her. And if I'm correct, when guys like a girl, they play around sometimes
by teasing. That's exactly what Sonic is doing. He teases Amy in Sonic X (jap version) also by being a
smart ass! ^^ :P
Sonic Battle:
This game is funny! Amy proves to Sonic that she can be a good mum by taking
care of Emerl and at the end of Amy's story she says to Sonic that he doesn't
have an excuse anymore not to marry her! Sonic stresses out and tells her to
close her eyes, and Amy thinks that he is about to propose to her!!! But when
she opens up her eyes, Sonic has run off! Amy thinks that Sonic was just too shy! But really, he's a sook
and he can't commit himself...
and maybe because of the fact that he's 15....
Um...this isn't really evidence...is it? ^_^;;

Did you ever notice that when Amy started to tone down the stalking that Sonic began to show her his emotions?
I personally think that he was shy and did feel a little intimidated by Amy's proclamations of her love. He also
may of felt that Amy may have been still too young to handle a steady relationship. But when she began to
mature, (stop chasing him) I think he thought that she was ready, and decided to show her his love for her.

In one of the Disney Adventure Magazine issues, there was a title of a topic called "Your top 10 Gaming Mysteries". And kids send in their Gaming Question and Disney Adventure will take there most asked questions and will try
to answer them for everyone. Well, One question a lot of people asked was "Why doesn't Sonic confess his love
to Amy Rose?"(Ha, even kids can see that he loves her) but anyways, to answer this question, Disney Adventure
went straight to SONIC TEAM HEADQUARTERS THEMSELVES and they responded with AND I QUOTE: "Although Sonic is clearly interested in her, Sonic has always been too shy to declare his feelings."
